Burch Mountain is changing. Two Trees, the often weekend destination of young party-goers is now referred to as One Tree. I'm guessing the fallen tree finally gave way to years of lead ripping the bark off at high speeds. Private driveways are being dug into the rolling landscape accompanied by their private signs and gated entrances. Hills with views are being flattened in preparation for house foundations. The wild playground of yesteryear is surely becoming another foothills neighborhood common to Wenatchee. Makes me wonder whose private property I've been hiking through my whole life. I guess they didn't care.
